| Young Artists at Work CD The DJ Project In the summer of 2003, The DJ Project collaborated with the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Young Artists at Work (YAAW) Program. DJ Project instructors introduced young people to the tools common to hip-hop production, culminating in a public multimedia performance at the Yerba Buena Center theater. In just eight weeks, youth participants choreographed an impressive display of music, video and dance, facilitated by Gustavo Lanzas, Angie Leonino and Juan Guillermo. This cycle emphasized concepts such as process over product, and experimentation over formula. |
